Senior Executive Engineer – Coastal Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Executive Engineer to lead coastal and marine structural projects within Surbana Jurong’s Coastal Engineering business in Singapore. The role involves delivering independent civil and structural designs for wharf structures, marine retaining systems and related temporary works, while ensuring compliance with local codes and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Produce civil and structural engineering designs, analyses and calculations for wharf structures such as caissons and other marine retaining systems.
• Lead preparation of technical design reports, calculations and drawings in line with project specifications, codes of practice and authority regulations.
• Manage all authority submissions and obtain clearances from bodies such as BCA, LTA, PUB and NParks.
• Review design submissions, provide guidance to the design team and mentor a small group of structural engineers.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental and other discipline teams, as well as clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor design progress, report to the Chief Engineer and address technical issues in meetings and workshops.
• Prepare tender documents, including technical specifications, and review related submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEB in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant civil/structural design experience in a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience with authority submission processes (BCA, LTA, PUB, NParks).
