Senior Executive, Lab Operations

About the role

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NTU seeks a Senior Executive to manage day‑to‑day laboratory operations, supporting teaching and research activities across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide lab support for teaching throughout the academic year.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate risk assessments, safety training modules, and SOP compliance under the WSH management system.
• Process lab requisitions via SAP Ariba on behalf of faculty and researchers.
• Maintain and certify laboratory equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with local regulations and OEM standards.
• Manage lab assets, keeping accurate records and accountability.
• Prepare for internal and external audits by keeping documentation up‑to‑date and organized.
• Support part‑time classes outside regular office hours.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in laboratory operations or related field.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, protocols, and mechanical testing.
• Knowledge of ISO45001, risk management, and Singapore WSH, NEA, and SCDF regulations.
• Analytical, observant, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
