Senior Exercise Trainer for Seniors

About the role

NTUC Health is seeking an Exercise Trainer to lead group fitness classes for senior adults. The role focuses on improving cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance and flexibility, helping seniors lead purposeful lives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver group fitness classes tailored for seniors, using HUR exercise machines and various senior‑friendly formats.
• Adapt and modify exercises to suit different fitness levels, health conditions and individual needs while ensuring safety.
• Provide clear, encouraging instruction with proper form cues and safety precautions.
• Build rapport with participants and monitor their progress and wellbeing.
• Handle basic administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and reporting incidents.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience teaching group fitness classes, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with participants of all backgrounds.
• Patience, empathy and adaptability to meet the unique challenges of senior clients.
• Physical ability to demonstrate exercises and lead full class sessions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HUR exercise machines.
