Senior Investment Analyst – Healthcare Equities

About the role

Dymon Asia is seeking a senior investment analyst to lead fundamental long/short equity research across the healthcare sector in India and broader Asia. The role focuses on pharmaceuticals, healthcare services and medical devices, requiring deep industry knowledge and a strong drive for alpha generation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the portfolio manager in active management of a healthcare equity long/short portfolio across India and Asia.
• Conduct bottom‑up research on pharmaceutical, CDMO/API, healthcare services and medical‑device companies, generating long and short ideas with clear catalysts.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comparables, sensitivity analysis) to set price targets and determine position sizing.
• Track regulatory, policy and clinical developments (e.g., FDA actions, generics pricing, domestic healthcare policy) and assess their impact on earnings and valuation.
• Leverage corporate access and industry networks—including management teams, physicians, KOLs and regulators—to develop differentiated investment views.
• Maintain a clear understanding of portfolio drivers, articulate performance attribution and risk exposures.
• Contribute thematic research such as generics, specialty pharma and healthcare access to the broader research universe.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in fundamental healthcare equity research on the sell‑side or buy‑side.
• Demonstrated track record of high‑conviction stock calls that outperformed the benchmark.
• Strong valuation and financial‑modeling expertise with ability to translate research into actionable long/short positions.
• Established relationships with company management and institutional investors across Asia, the US and Europe.
• Medical or scientific background (e.g., MBBS, PharmD, PhD) is a strong advantage.

• Data and research tools: Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters, FDA, CMS and PubMed datasets.
