Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

SIA Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance across its global MRO operations. The role involves managing complex commercial contracts, overseeing litigation, and supporting corporate governance for a leading aviation services provider.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, procurement, NDAs, service contracts, employment, insurance and IP licensing.
• Identify contractual risks and deliver clear, practical recommendations to business units.
• Manage litigation matters, including strategy, drafting pleadings, and coordinating with external law firms.
• Oversee insurance-related issues and support corporate secretarial functions.
• Stay current on legal developments and proactively advise the business on emerging risks.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a corporate or commercial legal environment.
• LLB (Hons) from a Singapore or reputable international English‑speaking university and admission to the Singapore bar or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Strong background in corporate and commercial law, with proven contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in global trade, data privacy, employment, competition, and anti‑bribery matters is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, judgment and decision‑making abilities, with a high level of accountability.
