Senior Librarian, Academic Engagement

About the role

The Senior Librarian, Academic Engagement will lead NTU's course reserves and curriculum support services, enhance social media impact metrics, and drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as Generative AI to improve reference and research support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NTU Course Reserves and curriculum support, managing faculty engagement, reading‑list workflows, service standards, copyright compliance and platform enhancements.
• Oversee Social Media Impact Metrics services, advising faculty and researchers on data interpretation and use.
• Plan and administer reference, literature and research support, including specialised databases, datasets, statistics and market intelligence resources.
• Evaluate and implement Generative AI solutions and digital workflows to strengthen team capabilities.
• Build sustained partnerships with faculty, researchers, schools and colleges through consultation, training and outreach.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline; MSc in Information Studies, MLIS or equivalent preferred.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in academic, research or special libraries.
• Strong subject knowledge across disciplines and familiarity with research resources and literature review methodologies.
• Knowledge of social media impact metrics, data analytics, AI literacy, digital fluency and copyright requirements.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills.
