Senior Manager - Corporate Tax (International Tax Advisory & Dispute Resolution)

About the role

PwC's Tax practice in Singapore, one of the largest tax practices in the country, is hiring a Senior Manager for its Corporate Tax line of service covering International Tax Advisory and Dispute Resolution. The role advises multinational clients on complex cross-border matters and represents them before tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise multinational clients on complex cross-border restructurings, business transformations and international tax matters, combining technical tax knowledge with legal analysis and strategic judgement.
• Develop and defend tax positions on areas of legal uncertainty, including the interpretation of tax legislation and treaties.
• Represent clients in engagements with tax authorities and government agencies, including tax queries, audits, ruling applications and dispute resolution.
• Lead controversy projects by identifying technical, evidentiary and procedural risks and building strategies for robust outcomes.
• Help clients obtain tax certainty through rulings, mutual agreement procedures and incentive negotiations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior tax, legal, finance and business stakeholders on matters with significant financial exposure or audit scrutiny.
• Contribute to new business development and coach, mentor and manage a team of young professionals.
• Work with other parts of the firm and with bodies such as the Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore.

Required profile

• Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Singapore and international corporate tax.
• SCTP accreditation is an added advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English and clear communication with clients.
• Willingness to stay up to date technically and learn digital tools.
• Government clearance required; work visa sponsorship available.
