Senior Manager, Global Facilities Central Engineering - Chemical & Gas

About the role

Micron is seeking a Senior Manager, Chemical & Gas to lead a multi-discipline Global Facilities Engineering team. The role provides engineering system ownership and technical support across semiconductor manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Asia, covering projects and sustaining activities from design through operations. It emphasises global standardisation, innovation, reliability, performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the multi-discipline engineering team, providing expert understanding of semiconductor facilities chemical and gas system engineering and supporting the Global, Regional and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams.
• Build a skilled engineering team, including recruitment, training, staffing and retention, and coach and mentor team members.
• Set facility engineering goals based on global network priorities and track key performance indicators.
• Lead multi-discipline engineering for large-scale greenfield FAB design and construction projects in the U.S. and Asia, supervising planning, execution and completion on time, within budget and to high quality.
• Establish and maintain best-in-class engineering and construction practices, drive cost management and ensure designs comply with standards, codes and regulations.
• Support project cost and schedule estimates, consultant resources and design package reviews, and benchmark against industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and expertise to Global, Regional and Site teams, including system design analysis, problem-solving and capacity planning.
• Support global initiatives such as Global Best Known Methods (BKM) documents and global facilities programmes, and advise senior management on strategic decisions.
