Senior Manager, Learning and Development Team

About the role

NHG is hiring a Senior Manager for its Learning and Development (L&D) team, which is part of the Centre of Excellence for Learning and Development. This team designs and runs company-wide learning initiatives, talent development plans and managerial competency programmes. The role covers both cluster-level HRD work and the Centre of Excellence's advisory and delivery work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive progressive, future-focused cluster-wide HRD interventions covering leadership, people manager and personal effectiveness development
• Plan, coordinate and lead cluster-level HRD initiatives and processes, including government initiatives
• Help set the direction and strategy for HRD to meet cluster-wide learning needs
• Support the review of HRD policies by gathering and providing inputs
• Build partnerships with internal institutions and group learning functions, as well as external learning organisations and the Ministry of Health
• Lead the team in consulting on learning interventions, developing content and facilitating workshops
• Lead and implement change management for the Core Competency Framework, performance management and on-boarding management
• Advise on L&D systems, processes and best practices for HQ and institutions
• Take part in GHRD operations such as claims administration, vendor selection and training approvals

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline
• At least 8 to 10 years of experience in similar roles
• Experience designing, developing and implementing L&D programmes and HRD plans
• Healthcare sector experience is an advantage; prior HR generalist or supervisory experience is also an advantage

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with HR teams across institutions and government agencies
