Senior / Occupational Therapist

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Senior / Occupational Therapist. The therapist assesses patients referred for occupational therapy, sets goals, implements treatment plans and carries out safe therapy, while working as part of the medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients effectively, set appropriate goals, implement treatment plans, execute safe therapy, re-assess timely and modify treatment when necessary
• Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from a supervisor and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
• Communicate and work as a team with referring doctors and other members of the medical team on patient care
• Keep all patient records accurate and up to date at all times
• Undertake continuing professional development through self-study, continuing education, case discussions and research
• Assist with clinical education of students and job training of therapy assistants
• Supervise therapy assistants and other support staff carrying out treatment

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
