Senior Presales Architect - Storage

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Senior Presales Architect focused on storage, based in Singapore. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office. It acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, sales teams and HPE business units across APAC, specializing in structured data and hybrid cloud, with adjacent knowledge of unstructured data and AI and data protection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with customers and partners, translate their needs into scalable architectures, and quantify business impact
• Design, configure, integrate, size and document end-to-end solutions, including third-party components, and produce proposals, BoMs and customer-facing deliverables
• Run technical workshops, demos, PoCs and lab validations, and create reusable reference architectures and playbooks
• Lead technical strategies for complex opportunities, including RFI, RFQ and RFP responses, and support account planning and forecasting
• Act as the APAC technical focal point, guide country presales teams, collaborate across product and engineering teams, and mentor peers and junior architects

Required profile

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
• 8-12 years of relevant IT experience, including technical consulting and solution selling
• Relevant HPE technology certifications, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Fluent English; local language as required by the role

Required skills

• Hands-on expertise in enterprise storage, virtualization, private cloud, Kubernetes or OpenShift, hybrid cloud and storage networking
• Ability to configure, troubleshoot, validate and demonstrate solutions in lab and customer environments
• Working knowledge of unstructured data and AI architectures and data protection
• Consultative selling, executive communication, and understanding of as-a-service and consumption models
