Senior Principal Project Manager (Civil)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager (Civil) to lead underground piping and metering station projects in Singapore. The role involves overseeing engineering studies, coordinating with contractors and authorities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Study contractual documents and understand contractor and consultancy scopes.
• Lead and coordinate engineering studies for underground pipeline works and metering skid installations.
• Manage contractors through detailed engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Monitor project schedules, implement mitigation plans, and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with clients and contractors, preparing minutes and reports.
• Liaise with utility agencies to obtain necessary permits and coordinate services.
• Review contractor documents, expedite technical reviews, and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Oversee site safety inspections, cost monitoring, and preparation of daily and monthly reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Singapore citizen, permanent resident, or Malaysian.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in gas pipeline projects (advantage) and familiarity with local public authority regulations.
• Proactive, team‑oriented attitude with strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑site for short‑term assignments and attend regular site visits.
• Eagerness to expand knowledge across multidisciplinary engineering tasks.
