Senior Product Designer, Search and Personalisation

About the role

Grab’s Search & Personalisation team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape search, discovery and personalisation experiences across its super‑app. You will translate machine‑learning outputs into intuitive user interactions, using data, experimentation and AI tools to drive product outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end design for search, discovery or personalisation surfaces, from problem framing to shipped product.
• Design experiences where content is generated, collaborating with ML and data teams to turn algorithmic outputs into user‑friendly interactions.
• Leverage data, experimentation results and qualitative research to identify friction points and opportunities.
• Apply AI tools for research synthesis, rapid prototyping, content generation and interaction exploration.
• Partner with product managers, engineers and data analysts to validate assumptions and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Contribute to and maintain design system standards, ensuring consistency across high‑traffic consumer surfaces.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer with a portfolio of shipped products.
• Experience designing complex, data‑rich tools (e.g., ads, B2B SaaS, e‑commerce, marketplace).
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, comfortable with hierarchy, layout and component‑level thinking.
• Ability to frame design decisions with clear rationale and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma.
• Experience with prototyping tools such as ProtoPie.
• Familiarity with design systems.
• Fluency in using AI tools to accelerate research, brainstorming and prototyping.
