Senior Product Engineer - HBM Package Manufacturing

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Product Engineer for its Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG) High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) team, based at Fab 10A in Singapore. The engineer joins a global team of product engineers responsible for a portfolio of next-generation HBM products, focusing on quality, cost, cycle time and scale. The role works on-site in Singapore with international travel opportunities to Taiwan, the US and Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Improve assembly-related coverage in manufacturing flows to reduce Time 0 and field DPM and prevent inline fallout
• Improve HBM cube yield through test optimization and coverage, working with Technology Development and Packaging
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to raise cumulative yield and quality
• Debug and resolve qualification and RMA packaging issues using electrical and physical failure analysis
• Work with Fab, Technology Development and packaging teams to set up a robust process conversion business process, and advise PDE teams on new conversions to improve yield and reduce cost
• Collaborate with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability teams to deliver end products
• Promote innovation, manage projects and make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization
• Help develop, deploy and validate AI/ML models to improve quality, cost, cycle time and scale

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry; product engineering and packaging experience preferred
• Experience in test flow handling, assembly processes or advanced packaging
• Experience with ML/AI and using agents to improve work efficiency is an added advantage
• Proven collaborative work across teams, strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills
