Senior Project Manager – Capital Markets Technology Platform

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex capital markets technology platforms. The role oversees projects from initiation through client acceptance, ensuring solutions are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including planning, execution, governance, risk management and client acceptance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, resource allocation and project metrics.
• Lead cross‑functional teams comprising PMO, Business Analysts, stream leads, client teams and third‑party vendors.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, resource utilisation and overall project P&L.
• Ensure alignment between proposals, contracts, scope, deliverables, milestones and commercial terms.
• Provide accurate reporting, manage issue escalation and mitigate risks or delays.
• Support business development through estimation, proposal reviews, client presentations and pre‑sales engagements.
• Oversee software delivery, including solution customisations and system upgrades throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent.
• Approximately 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years managing delivery projects on capital markets technology platforms.
• Proven track record delivering full‑lifecycle implementations in a vendor or consulting environment.
• Strong client‑facing experience with excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Experience working in multicultural, geographically distributed teams.
• Leadership, organisational, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
