Senior Project Manager, Finance IT Systems

About the role

Tencent Finance is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its Finance IT Management Department. You will independently drive complex financial system projects from end to end, covering planning, requirement gathering, solution design, system implementation and delivery across finance business and technology teams. The role calls for strong project management expertise, deep knowledge of finance processes and IT systems, and excellent stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project plans, define objectives, set timelines and milestones, and manage resources for Finance IT system implementations and improvements.
• Act as liaison between business and technical stakeholders, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead end-to-end planning, requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment and operations for financial systems projects.
• Ensure the integrity of ERP systems (Workday Finance, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and other finance IT functions such as financials, procurement and budgeting.
• Translate complex business needs such as accounting standards, tax regulations, compliance and risk management into system requirements.
• Ensure system design complies with international regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA and PDPA.
• Manage external vendors for development, testing and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in financial system implementation, with at least 3 full project cycles completed (e.g., ERP, billing platforms, payment systems).
• Proven record of delivering mainstream ERP projects; Workday Finance experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluent business-level English and Chinese Mandarin to work with internal stakeholders in China and international markets.
• Strong analytical skills, business acumen and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Project management skills; PMP certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools.
• Understanding of financial industry regulations, data compliance and information security standards is preferred.
