Senior Project Manager

About the role

Rakuten's Global Ad Technology Department is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead web application development for its core digital marketing platform. You will work across a distributed team in Japan, Singapore, India and other locations, bridging business needs and technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders across multiple countries, gathering requirements and defining KPIs.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, from specification design through testing, release and post‑release support.
• Apply project management techniques to deliver projects on scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with product managers, business units and cross‑border tech teams to align on product roadmaps.
• Ensure clear communication and smooth collaboration between business and technical teams.

Required profile

• Dynamic senior professional comfortable taking technical ownership and solving complex business problems.
• Proven experience with one or more project management methodologies.
• Strong ability to work outside the comfort zone and adapt to new project challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership for project outcomes.
