Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Singapore. The role leads and manages assigned sections within the QA department, in line with the QA department's responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements
• Run the Quality Audit programme (internal and supplier audits) and coordinate external audits by civil aviation authorities and customers
• Coordinate the Quality System and Safety Management System
• Control and administer the Capability List, Exposition Manuals, Quality Manuals and the Personnel Authorization System
• Lead quality investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
• Collect quality metrics, analyse quality data and conduct quality-related training (induction, continuation training)
• Drive PFMEA creation and risk mitigation, review first article inspection, and control controlled build process reviews
• Ensure proper execution of forms, tags and authorised release certificates, and proper tagging and identification of parts and components
• Assess sub-contractors, external specialist services, and suppliers of new and used components and materials for product quality

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in the aviation industry in a quality assurance environment
• Knowledge of basic gas turbine engine and aviation regulatory requirements
• Competence in quality auditing and conducting training
• Ability to lead and manage assigned sections
