Senior Quantity Surveyor – 3 Year Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 3‑year contract. This role is ideal for professionals with strong consultancy or contractor experience who are passionate about cost management, contract administration, and delivering successful construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assess and manage Variation Order (VO) works for subcontract packages.
• Measure, price, and evaluate contract VO claims.
• Process monthly progress claims and final accounts.
• Manage contract administration and maintain project documentation.
• Perform remeasurement for subcontractor payments and final account settlements.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgetary cost reports.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on project cost matters.
• Obtain supplier quotations and support procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and well‑organised project documentation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Quantity Surveyors where required.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• PSPC‑recognised Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional qualifications such as SISV, AIQS, or RICS are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take‑offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Experience in contract administration and project documentation.
• Prior experience with a consultancy firm is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
