Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial & Contract Management

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and contractual management of our construction projects. Working closely with the project team and the Co‑Founder, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare commercial control documents such as procurement schedule, cash‑flow forecast and margin improvement strategy.
• Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, manage long‑lead items and obtain client approvals.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier tender returns, flag risks and prepare material quantity take‑offs and bills of quantities.
• Coordinate with designers on material selections for design‑and‑build projects.
• Procure work packages according to schedule and budget, evaluate quotations and negotiate with subcontractors.
• Monitor project cash flow, administer works packages, process monthly payments and variations.
• Assist in change management, valuation of variations and preparation of RFPs.
• Compile monthly commercial reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities and support contract administration.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings and records and attend project meetings.

Required profile

• Experience supporting a Senior Quantity Surveyor in commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
• Understanding of the project’s commercial strategy as defined by senior leadership.
• Ability to prepare and analyse procurement schedules, cash‑flow forecasts and margin strategies.
• Strong coordination skills with project teams, designers and subcontractors.
