Senior Site Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Site Quantity Surveyor will oversee contract administration, procurement and cost control for construction projects across Singapore. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures accurate measurement, timely progress claims and effective coordination with subcontractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Administer contracts, ensuring site staff understand obligations to clients and subcontractors.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers, obtain quotations, compare costs and issue purchase orders to meet project budgets.
• Prepare and submit progress claims to the client, assess subcontractor claims and process payment vouchers to maintain cash flow.
• Monitor and update monthly cost reports for headquarters and project management, highlighting expenses and financial status.
• Identify variation orders, prepare VO claims and evaluate architect instructions for cost and time impacts.
• Coordinate site meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to track work progress.
• Provide cost advice during technical meetings and resolve cost queries from owners or consultants.
• Perform accurate quantity take‑offs for claims and payments, preventing over‑payment.
• Compile documents for monthly progress reports, including cash flow, subcontractor lists, AI and VO lists.
• Calculate final project costs, advise on settlement with clients and subcontractors, and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Senior Executive level with extensive quantity surveying experience.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior staff effectively.
