Senior Social Work Associate – Mental Health Rehabilitation

About the role

The Senior Social Work Associate joins the Oasis Day Centre team to provide emotional and practical support to clients recovering from mental illness or dual diagnosis. You will help clients achieve personal goals, enhance independence, and improve community functioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client intake and discharge, coordinate referrals, and maintain communication with external agencies.
• Provide supportive counselling, crisis intervention, and family support, including psycho‑educational training for caregivers.
• Design and deliver group work, workshops, and therapeutic sessions covering budgeting, daily living skills, and communication.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and volunteers to implement individualized intervention plans.
• Prepare social reports, incident logs, case records, and statistical reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in social work or psychiatric rehabilitation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
