Senior Software Engineer, Backend

About the role

Flo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Digital Enablement Technology Team. You will design and deliver end‑to‑end solutions for a renewable electricity product line operating in Singapore and Australia, while collaborating closely with product and engineering peers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full software delivery lifecycle from ideation through deployment, ensuring clean code, robust documentation, and high performance.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs that serve users across multiple regions.
• Improve development processes, infrastructure, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Lead innovation initiatives, introduce new technologies, and propose product enhancements that support a sustainable future.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of core software engineering experience in a technology company, with a proven record of delivering complex, high‑scale projects in an agile environment.
• Strong organizational, ownership, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Collaborative mindset that embraces Agile principles.
• Deep understanding of security best practices and ability to implement protective measures.
• Passion for using technology to improve environmental outcomes.
