Senior Solution Architect, Big Data (Singapore)

About the role

Tencent Cloud's Big Data team is looking for a Senior Solution Architect in Singapore. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical consulting and deliver end-to-end data solutions for strategic enterprise customers across international markets, combining big data expertise, customer-facing solution leadership and global market insight.

Key responsibilities

• Engage enterprise customers on big data architecture, real-time processing, data lakes, analytics and data governance, and design scalable solutions for e-commerce, gaming and fintech.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, solution demonstrations and PoCs, supporting cloud migration, platform modernisation and architecture upgrades.
• Articulate the value of Tencent Cloud's big data portfolio and build differentiation strategies against AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake and Databricks.
• Act as the technical bridge between international customer-facing teams and Tencent Cloud's R&D headquarters, working with product, engineering, sales and post-sales teams.
• Identify recurring international market needs such as data compliance, localisation, interoperability and multi-cloud deployment, and turn them into recommendations for product roadmaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in big data architecture, technical consulting, solution design or platform implementation.
• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese, written and spoken, to present to international customers and work with Chinese-speaking product and R&D stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark, Flink, Elasticsearch, Apache Doris, ClickHouse and Trino.
• Understanding of data lakes, lakehouse platforms, real-time processing, serverless data services and open table formats such as Apache Iceberg and Apache Hudi.
• Familiarity with AWS EMR and Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake and Databricks, with the ability to compare platforms and craft differentiated solutions.
