Senior Specialist, DevOps

About the role

The Senior Specialist, DevOps leads the Group DevOps function, providing technical leadership for the development, deployment and operation of in‑house solutions across multiple technology stacks. Reporting to the Group Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems, the role owns the software delivery platform and drives consistent DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain Group DevOps standards, reference pipelines, environment conventions and engineering documentation, ensuring adoption across development teams.
• Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, including source control, branching strategy, automated build, test integration, artefact management and release promotion.
• Establish platform observability (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting) and manage incident response, capacity, cost and lifecycle of cloud/on‑prem resources.
• Embed security throughout the delivery lifecycle – secrets management, dependency scanning, access control and compliance with IT security policies.
• Lead responsible adoption of AI‑assisted coding tools, defining guardrails, review requirements and evaluation criteria.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software, infrastructure or platform engineering, with at least 3 years in a DevOps or platform role.
• Proven technical leadership experience influencing engineers, mentoring and driving capability development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Mandarin a plus.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, Ansible) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and on‑premise environments.
• Observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Security practices: secrets management, dependency/vulnerability scanning, SAST/DAST.
• Experience with AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a plus.
