Senior Specialist I, Material Planning

About the role

ASM is seeking a Senior Specialist I in Material Planning to ensure timely material availability and supply continuity for its semiconductor production lines. You will translate demand signals, MRP outputs and production needs into actionable material plans that support high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day material planning for assigned component categories, aligning with demand, supply plans and production priorities.
• Review MRP outputs, convert requirements into purchase requisitions and follow up on deliveries.
• Monitor material shortages, inventory health and supplier commitments, escalating risks with clear impact assessments.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data (lead times, MOQ, lot size, safety stock, replenishment settings).
• Support supply strategy definition using run‑rate planning, liability agreements, scheduling agreements, buffers and allocation rules.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, sourcing and internal stakeholders to protect production continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material planning or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to disciplined follow‑up processes.
