Senior Specialist, Scheme Relationships

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Specialist, Scheme Relationships to support its rapid growth and expansion in the Americas. The role manages key aspects of partnerships with card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, as well as payment providers that support global payment rails, so that Checkout can offer payment products and services to merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with card networks and payment providers to develop and deliver payment solutions for merchants.
• Act as the single point of contact for day-to-day operations internally and externally for assigned partnerships.
• Ensure existing processes are followed and deliverables are met by both sides, and track performance metrics.
• Design and develop new processes to scale partnerships for growth, operational efficiency and performance improvement.
• Leverage data analysis tools to track partnership performance, identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations and Sales, both inside and outside the partner organization.
• Reduce complex issues to their simplest form and drive clear outcomes.
• Act as subject matter experts on partner products and operations for internal teams.
• Build relationships with and influence key stakeholders in partner organizations to advance Checkout's goals and champion its customers (merchants).
• Use partner relationships to identify, develop and execute strategies for new partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum years of experience in payment products, operations or managing payment partnerships.
• Experience working with card networks and proficiency in payment systems and flows is a strong plus.
• Organized, proactive, data-driven, analytical and strategic, with a strong sense of ownership of business results.
• Comfortable working across time zones and cultures in a globally distributed team.

Required skills

• Data analysis tools such as MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Presentation tools such as MS PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Ability to handle large sets of data and to communicate and influence stakeholders internally and externally.
