Senior Staff Manager, Test Engineering

About the role

Marvell tests the semiconductor chips it produces for internal and external customers, making sure no underperforming units are shipped. This Senior Staff Manager, Test Engineering role works closely with design so that chip features are testable and meet customer specifications, and may write new code or develop new testing strategies when chips outpace current equipment. The team develops ATE test solutions for characterization, production and wafer sort.

Key responsibilities

• Spearhead development of ATE test solutions for characterization, production and wafer sort on Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne tester platforms
• Design and develop advanced ATE test hardware for high-speed testing
• Create detailed test plans and test methodology documentation
• Take part in testability and test plan reviews with DFx and Design teams to improve yield and test methods
• Convert test patterns from the design simulation environment to ATE format
• Optimize test flows, reduce test times, remove unnecessary steps, improve yields and release production test programs with product engineers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Demonstrable experience in ATE testing, test methodology, silicon process, DFT/DFM and high-speed digital testing
• Strong knowledge of C/C++, Perl, Python and the Linux environment
• Effective teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
