Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Supply Planning & Operations

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to lead supply planning and operational execution for its Nutrition business. The role bridges planning and operations, ensuring product availability, inventory optimization, and seamless collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, and customer service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end supply planning process for assigned product portfolios, aligning demand, supply, and inventory targets.
• Develop and maintain timely supply plans to support business growth, market demand, and service level objectives.
• Monitor supply‑demand imbalances and recommend mitigation actions for shortages, excess inventory, or constraints.
• Support operational readiness for new product introductions, product launches, reformulations, regulatory changes, discontinuations, SKU rationalization, and portfolio optimization.
• Identify supply risks and create contingency plans to maintain continuity of supply.
• Lead bi‑weekly replenishment planning and manage Local Value Added (LVA) planning and repacking services.
• Serve as custodian of inventory health across the Nutrition portfolio, monitoring inventory levels and stewardship.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers, transport partners, manufacturing sites, regional planning teams, and customer service to ensure execution excellence.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage complex product portfolios and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
