Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise‑wide system infrastructure for our Singapore operations. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, performance and security across on‑premises, hybrid and cloud‑native environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage system infrastructure across on‑premises, hybrid cloud and cloud‑native platforms.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and related services.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V, optimizing VM performance and resource allocation.
• Monitor system performance, analyze metrics and implement optimization strategies.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Implement patch management, security updates and system hardening in line with policies.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts, Infrastructure as Code tools and automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with IT, security and stakeholder teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades and technology assessments.
• Document configurations, procedures and architectural decisions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on system administration and infrastructure management experience.
• Strong expertise with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Proven experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Demonstrated ability to design and maintain backup, disaster recovery and patch management processes.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell and using IaC/automation tools.
• Solid understanding of hybrid and cloud‑native environments.
