Senior Technical Architect, Finance IT Systems

About the role

Tencent Finance is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to define, govern and evolve the architecture of its enterprise finance platforms. The role ensures finance IT systems are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with business and regulatory requirements, working closely with Finance stakeholders on end-to-end solutions covering core platforms, integrations, data and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions for Finance IT systems (ERP systems, billing, reporting, integrations, data and security).
• Ensure the integrity of Finance IT systems and process functionality, including financials, procurement, budgeting and related domains.
• Translate complex business needs such as accounting standards, tax regulations, compliance and risk management into system requirements.
• Lead technical implementations with the cross-functional development team and guide delivery teams.
• Evaluate vendors, select systems and support solution implementation.
• Drive modernisation and continuous improvement of finance platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in a solution or enterprise architect role.
• Fluent business-level English and Mandarin Chinese, as about half of the communication is in Mandarin with internal stakeholders in China and international markets.
• Strong analytical skills, business acumen and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Proven record of designing and delivering finance IT or mainstream ERP solutions (Oracle, SAP, Workday Finance, Dynamics) preferred.
• Understanding of financial industry regulations, data compliance and information security standards preferred.

Required skills

• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, networking, operating systems and concurrency.
• Familiarity with Java backend frameworks such as Spring MVC / Spring Boot and MyBatis; strong understanding of their principles is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle and MySQL, including data modelling and sharding/partitioning.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices, and with Dubbo and/or Spring Cloud preferred.
