Senior Technician - Package Development

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Technician for its Package Development team. The role performs laboratory analysis to support IC package development, including package material characterization and physical failure analysis, working independently with related semiconductor lab analysis experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform die and package material characterization and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) to support IC package and technology development.
• Run lab analyses such as Scanning Acoustic Microscope (SAM), X-ray, cross-sectioning, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) cross-sectioning to support silicon technology and package development.
• Support lab materials and chemicals supply and administration, and lab tool maintenance and calibration.
• Keep the lab clean according to the site's 6S cleanliness standard.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, and share AI-enabled improvements with the team.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Process/Engineering, or Physics/Materials discipline.
• At least 2-5 years of lab analysis experience in semiconductor or materials science/engineering industries.
• Willingness to work overtime, high self-discipline with minimal supervision, teamwork and a commitment to continuous improvement.
