Senior/Postdoctoral Associate – Immune Cell Biology & Process Development

About the role

The Singapore-MIT Alliance is seeking a Senior/Postdoctoral Associate to join the SMART CAMP programme, an interdisciplinary effort tackling critical challenges in cell‑therapy manufacturing. You will work at the interface of immunology, process engineering and clinical translation, focusing on engineered T‑cell products.

Key responsibilities

• Establish best‑practice workflows for engineered T‑cell manufacturing and culture.
• Investigate how genetic manipulation methods, activation/expansion protocols, and desired phenotypes influence critical quality attributes.
• Coordinate T‑cell production and characterization across multiple projects, identifying novel efficacy, safety and manufacturability attributes.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, clinicians, GMP manufacturers and regulatory scientists within the Singapore cell‑manufacturing ecosystem.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cell Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with primary T‑cell isolation, culture, and standard immune‑cell characterization techniques.
• Familiarity with engineered T‑cell platforms (e.g., CAR‑T, TCR‑T) is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate scientific concepts clearly and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
