Senior/Staff Nurse – Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL)

About the role

The Senior/Staff Nurse will join the Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL) team at Mount Alvernia Hospital, delivering compassionate, patient‑centred nursing care. Working closely with nursing leaders, you will support diagnostic imaging procedures, lead the Code Blue response within the department, and contribute to a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing support for diagnostic imaging and invasive procedures in the CVL and Cath Lab.
• Assist radiologists, cardiologists, and other specialists during procedures, including cannula insertion for contrast studies.
• Prepare sterile trolleys, set up equipment, and ensure all consent forms are completed.
• Perform newborn hearing screening and electrocardiograms (ECG).
• Lead the Code Blue team during cardiac arrests in the department.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board licence.
• Ability to work a 5.5‑day week and handle on‑call duties.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and perseverance.
• Experience in an Anaesthesia Unit is an advantage.
