Service Designer

About the role

NCS, a technology services firm operating across the Asia Pacific region, is looking for a Service Designer in Singapore. The role shapes the end-to-end experience of products and services, taking a holistic view of the service ecosystem and working with product management, technology, UX/UI design, marketing and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, ethnography, data analysis) and turn findings into actionable insights.
• Create and maintain service design artifacts such as personas, customer journey maps, service blueprints and ecosystem maps.
• Facilitate design thinking and co-creation workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conceptualize, prototype and test service concepts and touchpoints, digital and non-digital.
• Collaborate with business and product teams to define a service strategy and influence the product roadmap.
• Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes, set KPIs and use data and user feedback to iterate on services.

Required profile

• 3-8+ years of experience as a Service Designer, UX Designer or similar strategic design role.
• Proven end-to-end service design experience, from discovery and research to implementation and measurement.
• Ability to work in an agile or iterative environment.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Business Design or a related field.
• Practical experience with AI/ML technologies in B2B and B2C settings is an advantage.

Required skills

• Service design tools and methods: journey mapping, service blueprinting, ecosystem mapping.
• User research: interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing.
• Familiarity with design thinking, human-centered design and systems thinking.
• Design tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Sketch and service blueprint templates.
• Agile, Lean UX and product/service lifecycle management.
• Workshop facilitation, storytelling and excellent communication skills.
