Service Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer to provide electrical and automation support for vessels in Singapore harbours and to lead marine/offshore projects. The role involves on‑site service, technical design, and coordination with clients, suppliers and classification societies.

Key responsibilities

• Attend vessels in Singapore harbours for electrical and automation service jobs, including inspections, commissioning, surveys, troubleshooting and repairs of EGS, BWTS, auxiliary boilers and other machinery.
• Provide EIA expertise to evaluate concept and detailed designs for marine, ship and offshore projects.
• Guide teams and subcontractors in preparing electrical load balance calculations, single line diagrams, short‑circuit and earthing calculations, and component selection such as transformers, rectifiers, UPS, circuit breakers, battery systems and cable schedules.
• Develop instrument and I/O lists, system schematics, control philosophy, control narratives, block diagrams, cause‑and‑effect tables and data sheets.
• Develop product service plans and manage local EIA projects to meet defined objectives.
• Interface with other discipline engineers, clients, equipment suppliers and class authorities.
• Evaluate and confirm product designs, propose changes and discuss project execution procedures with management.
• Travel on short notice as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical, automation and commercial roles within marine/offshore oil & gas industries.
• Knowledge of classification society rules, codes, standards and international maritime regulations.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and work closely with clients.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
