Service Technician - Electrical / Mechanical

About the role

Aggreko is hiring a Service Technician - Electrical / Mechanical in Singapore. The role covers installations, commissioning, decommissioning, maintenance and repair of equipment such as generators, transformers, load banks and temperature control equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installation tasks on new and existing machinery, following engineering drawings or schematics with minimum supervision.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and carry out remedial action using equipment manuals or schematics with minimum supervision.
• Strip down equipment, report its condition, advise on spare parts and rebuild to a high standard.
• Assemble and operate equipment including generators, transformers, load banks and temperature control equipment.
• Use analog and digital measurement equipment to measure electrical and mechanical parameters.
• Travel for on/offshore jobs on short notice and respond to emergency breakdown calls after office hours.

Required profile

• NITEC in Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in installation, commissioning, decommissioning, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Good command of English.
