About the role
The Shot Firer will manage drilling, blasting and related civil works, supporting the Managing Director and Project Managers on site.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the whole operation of drilling, blasting, rock support, soil and slope stabilization, and related civil, quarry, tunnelling or mining works.
- Assist the Managing Director, Manager and Project Manager with drilling and blasting tasks, site recording, permits and documentation.
- Ensure safety of the entire working area and workforce across all projects.
- Report regularly to the Manager or Project Manager.
- Oversee underground blasting operations in compliance with Singapore and mine explosives regulations.
Required profile
- Follow instructions from higher authority and assist with any assigned job scope.
- Responsible for safety of charging crew, explosives and equipment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of blasting operations and cassette units.
- Experience with underground pump operation (RIOFLEX) and ANFO explosives.
- Maintenance of bulk pumping units.
