Site Engineer – Construction Project Lead

About the role

The Site Engineer will support the Construction Manager/Site Manager in leading on‑site activities, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery. This role combines hands‑on site supervision with planning, reporting and stakeholder liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CM/SM in directing site works, managing a consortium of partners and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with contract documents.
• Plan, monitor and control daily operations including resource allocation, manpower planning, progress tracking and cost control.
• Liaise with the employer, superintending officer, RSS team, partners, subcontractors and authorities to resolve site and compliance issues.
• Develop and implement a site‑specific safety plan in coordination with the employer’s safety manager.
• Prepare accurate project reports covering schedules, deviations, subcontractor changes and customer issues.
• Create logistics plans to enable coordinated, efficient work on site.
• Evaluate trade contractor method statements for buildability and provide feedback.
• Conduct regular meetings with trade contractors to review drawings, material lead times, manpower forecasts and quality/performance matters.
• Adhere to all quality, safety, health and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a main contractor in the construction industry.
• Experience in condominium or commercial building construction is advantageous.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and meet tight deadlines.
