Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction activities across HXT Construction projects in Singapore, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, contractors, consultants and on‑site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction operations on site, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and report any delays to the Project Manager.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and engineering documents.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety standards by coordinating with the safety team and reporting site‑related hazards.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, inspection records and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and site workers to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, site operations and engineering practices.
• Proficient in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
• Experience with Singapore construction projects is a plus.
