SOC Manager, Cyber Defense Center

About the role

State Street is recruiting a SOC Manager for its Cyber Defense Center in Singapore. The Cyber Fusion Center detects and responds to cyber threats 24/7, 365 days a year, and the manager leads triage, analysis and response to cyber-attacks. The role is predominantly on-site in the Singapore office.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and lead the cyber incident response process so that high-severity or long-running incidents are triaged, analyzed, contained, eradicated and returned to service promptly.
• Manage analysts and lead analysts in Quincy who work a Monday-to-Friday shift, and build a high-performance culture.
• Partner with and hand off to the partner team/manager in the Singapore SOC.
• Keep incident response plans, playbooks and procedures up to date, and run tabletop exercises and cyber ranges.
• Measure incident response effectiveness with KRI and KPI metrics and identify ways to improve it.
• Recruit and retain cyber talent, train and mentor SOC and Fusion Center personnel, and promote knowledge sharing across the center.
• Help develop the 24/7 fusion center mindset and the follow-the-sun model.

Required profile

• Experience working in or managing a 24/7 cyber security or IT operations function.
• Experience with or managing a diverse, early-career team.
• End-to-end experience investigating and managing major or complex cyber incidents.
• 4+ years in a management position in cyber security or IT operations.
• Preferred: Masters degree in cyber security, IT, computer science or relevant experience; financial services experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Operating system administration (Windows, Linux, Mac).
• Malware analysis and knowledge of TTPs, NIST and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• IT architecture and operations (computing, network, storage and cloud).
• Security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/EPP, AV, ID/PS, HIPS, web proxy/content filtering, AD, PKI and DNS.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, OSCE or GCIH are preferred.
