Social Media Director – Lead Strategy & Innovation

About the role

IRIS Singapore is seeking an experienced and visionary Social Media Director to shape the agency’s social media vision, drive innovation and deliver integrated social solutions for global brands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the agency’s social media strategy, ensuring it evolves with consumer behaviour, emerging technologies and platform developments.
• Champion social‑first thinking across integrated marketing and communications projects.
• Establish best practices in social strategy, content, community management and performance marketing.
• Act as senior strategic advisor for key client accounts, developing long‑term social media plans aligned with business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead presentations, workshops and annual planning sessions.
• Support new‑business development through strategic proposals, pitches and capability presentations.
• Oversee integrated social media programmes, campaigns, influencer marketing, paid social and emerging digital platforms.
• Translate consumer insights, market trends and business goals into effective social media solutions.
• Drive experimentation with new technologies, AI‑enabled workflows, innovative content formats and platform features.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading social media strategy for large, multi‑brand agencies.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to grow the social practice.
• Creative excellence combined with operational expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior client relationships.
• Leadership skills to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
