Software Development Intern – Cloud‑Native Java

About the role

This internship is part of the Application Delivery‑Engineering team. You will work under a technical manager, contributing to the design, development and deployment of cloud‑native Java applications for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop and implement cloud‑native Java applications.
• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Assist in optimizing and troubleshooting existing code for performance improvements.
• Contribute to microservices architecture design and integration within cloud platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Research emerging technologies and best practices related to cloud‑native development.
• Support the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or related program.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Java programming and object‑oriented design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Basic understanding of microservices, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Preferred: Spring Boot, RESTful API design, Angular or React, relational and NoSQL databases, DevSecOps practices.
