Software Engineer – Acceleration Platform

About the role

Google’s Acceleration Platform team in Singapore is looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement AI‑native agentic systems that reduce developer toil worldwide. You will work on zero‑to‑one initiatives, building scalable, resilient frameworks for self‑sustaining AI at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of AI‑driven software components.
• Build and optimise ML infrastructure for model training, inference, deployment and evaluation.
• Lead technical initiatives from concept to production, ensuring security‑by‑default and high performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in AI engineering.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to integrate large‑scale AI capabilities into Google products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience in Python or C++.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a core ML domain such as generative AI, NLP, computer vision, speech/audio, reinforcement learning, recommendation systems, or ML infrastructure.
• Ability to read and understand complex codebases and thrive in ambiguous environments.
