Software Engineer – AI Agent (New Grad 2027)

About the role

Design and deliver production‑grade AI agents that are central, mission‑critical and drive revenue for Sierra’s customers. You will work directly with large enterprises and cutting‑edge startups to build AI agents that transform how they operate at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship highly performant, reliable AI agents for production environments across finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration.
• Partner with enterprise leaders and startup founders to understand business challenges and embed AI agents.
• Shape Sierra’s core platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research and product teams.
• Lead projects such as AI agents for telecom churn reduction, complex interaction handling, industry‑specific frameworks, and large‑scale voice model integration.

Required profile

• Experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Builder mindset with high agency, able to ship creative solutions.
• Comfortable working directly with customers to solve real‑world problems.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
