Software Engineer, Android and Pixel SDLC

About the role

Join Google’s Android and Pixel Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) team to design and implement foundational infrastructure, intelligent tools, and evaluation methodologies that modernize the development and deployment experience for mobile devices in the age of AI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build AI‑native infrastructure and tools that improve release velocity, stability, and functionality of Android and Pixel devices.
• Develop automatic analysis and reporting solutions for bug reporting, automation, and issue analysis.
• Leverage Google Cloud, on‑device AI, and large‑scale data pipelines to enhance Android performance diagnostics.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers across Google to integrate AI/LLM capabilities into mobile workflows.
• Contribute to metrics and evaluation frameworks that measure the impact of SDLC improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software programming experience in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Strong ability to proactively identify and solve technical issues.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment and collaborating across teams.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and willingness to apply AI/LLM solutions in daily engineering tasks.
