Software Engineer II, Infrastructure (Datastreaming)

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Data/AI Infrastructure team in Singapore. The team provides data engineering and analytics teams with the right tools, and the engineer develops and maintains the data infrastructure using technologies such as Kafka, Flink or Spark, while creating and improving tooling and platforms that give engineers better self-service capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of the DevOps strategy and work with cross-functional teams to build and evolve cloud infrastructure optimized for performance, scalability and security.
• Own the Data and AI infrastructure across the company's operations in multiple countries.
• Build observability and detection capabilities to reduce the time to discover problems and improve stability without sacrificing agility or security.
• Build consensus among DevOps engineers across geographies and feature teams on tools and practices, evolving it into agreed standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform and GitOps.
• Data streaming engineering experience, including Kafka, Flink or Spark.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language.
• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or a related engineering major.
