About the role
CSIT offers a 2-4 month Software Engineer internship in product development, open to undergraduate and pre-university students. The intern understands the project objectives and requirements, carries out a technology scan and proof-of-concept if needed, and works closely with a mentor to deliver a system that meets the project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Understand the project objective and requirements
- Conduct a technology scan and proof-of-concept if required
- Design, develop, test and deliver the system
- Present the system to management and users
Example projects include web applications (internal workflow UIs, data visualisation, content search and filtering, backend microservices) and technology exploration and evaluation (object stores, graph databases).
Required profile
- Prior knowledge in software engineering
- Ability to write good, clean code
Required skills
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript and Python
