Software Engineer (KDB+/Q) – Up to 300k SGD + Bonus

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in KDB+/Q to join a prestigious hedge fund in Singapore. The role involves building and optimizing high‑performance, low‑latency research and analytics platforms that power real‑time trading across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise KDB+/q databases for real‑time market data ingestion and analytics.
• Create scalable, low‑latency infrastructure that supports trading and portfolio‑management workflows.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders and portfolio managers to deliver production‑grade solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems, ensuring reliability and performance under high‑throughput conditions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related STEM discipline.
• At least one year of professional experience working with KDB+/q, preferably in a trading or real‑time data environment.
• Understanding of market‑data feeds, electronic trading and low‑latency system design.

Required skills

• KDB+/q programming.
