Software Engineer – Singapore

About the role

BeMyGuest is hiring a Software Engineer to work from its headquarters in Singapore’s central business district. The company operates a travel technology platform that enables online sales of attractions, tours and activities, connecting operators with travel agents and consumers. You will join a tech team that values high code quality, collaborative reviews and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Help build and maintain complex, fast, and scalable applications.
• Estimate and deliver development projects to a high standard.
• Collaborate with the team to plan, coordinate, and deliver work throughout a project’s life cycle.
• Contribute to product design and development with focus on scalability, usability, maintainability, and performance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken, for technical documentation and team communication.
• Enthusiastic continuous learner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PHP with extensive experience using the Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and SOAP services.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs, handling data exchange and managing rate limits.
• Knowledge of API versioning and backward compatibility.
• Solid error handling and API response management using appropriate HTTP status codes.
• Proficiency with cURL, Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Proficient with Git for version control and team collaboration.
